Help

A clear start for your inbox.

Connect existing email, prepare a custom domain and understand what happens before you make a change.

01 / Existing email

Keep the address you use.

Google Workspace or Gmail, Microsoft 365 or Outlook, and compatible IMAP + SMTP accounts are supported.

  1. Sign in with Buckhy

Use your Buckhy account. You do not need a separate identity for Mail.

  2. Choose your account provider

Open the account connection flow in Mail. For Google or Microsoft, review the provider permissions. For IMAP and SMTP, use the connection settings supplied by your provider.

  3. Confirm the connection

Check that the intended account appears in your workspace. Your existing provider continues to host that mailbox.

02 / Your own domain

Prepare first. Switch deliberately.

Keep your current mail service available until your addresses and routing are ready.

Review the safeguards
  1. Add and verify your domain

Open Mail settings and choose Mailboxes. Add the domain you control, then follow the ownership-verification instructions.

  2. Prepare addresses and DNS records

Create the addresses you need. Copy the exact records shown by Buckhy into your DNS provider, including the requested email-authentication records. Return to Buckhy to check them.

  3. Review the routing change

Switching incoming mail requires a separate review and identity confirmation. Historical messages stay with the previous provider unless you arrange a separate migration.

03 / AI assistance

Keep the final say.

Use summaries to catch up on a conversation and AI drafts as a starting point for a reply. Check the recipients, details and wording before you send.

The draft-review workflow does not send automatically. Separate automation depends on the permissions and settings you explicitly enable.

When something needs attention

Start with the essentials.

My account is not connecting. What should I check?

Confirm that you selected the correct provider and account. Review the permission screen and any restrictions set by your organization. For IMAP and SMTP, use the server settings supplied by your provider; some providers require an app password rather than your normal password.

My domain is still waiting for DNS verification.

Compare each record name, type and value with the records shown in your domain setup. DNS providers handle names and automatic domain suffixes differently. Recheck after your provider has published the changes; propagation is not instantaneous.

Will switching mail routing copy my old messages?

No. DNS changes control delivery of new incoming messages. They do not copy historical messages from the previous provider. Keep access to your old account and plan any migration separately.

Why is an extra identity check required?

Sensitive changes need additional confirmation to protect your account and workspace. Complete the check through the Buckhy sign-in flow. Do not send verification or recovery codes to support.

Do I need a browser extension?

No extension is required for Mail or the manual domain setup guide. You can make DNS changes directly with your provider and return to Buckhy to verify them.

How do I report a sending or receiving problem?

Note whether the issue affects one account or all accounts, the approximate time and any error shown. Contact support with that context and your browser details. Remove private email content, credentials and access tokens from screenshots or copied messages.
